Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 24, 2026

At Ottory, accessible from www.ottory.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors and users. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that is collected and recorded by Ottory and how we use it.

If you have additional questions or require more information about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide a smarter, highly localized, and efficient social media management experience. The types of data we collect include:

A. Information You Provide to Us

  • Account Information: When you register for an account, we ask for your contact information, including items such as your name, company name, email address, and telephone number.

  • Payment and Billing Information: If you sign up for a paid subscription, your credit card details or bank information are collected and processed securely by our third-party payment processors. We do not store your raw financial data on our servers.

  • Customer Support: If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.

B. Information Gathered via Social Media Integrations

To enable multi-channel scheduling and our Centralized Communication Hub, you must authorize Ottory to connect with your third-party social media accounts (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn, X/Twitter). When authorized, we access:

  • Profile information and account tokens necessary to authenticate and publish content.

  • Direct messages, comments, and interaction histories required to populate your All-in-One Inbox.

  • Public metrics and engagement data to generate performance insights.

C. Information Gathered via AI Features
Inputs to "Ask Otto": Any text prompts, creative briefs, or brand guidelines you input into our AI tools to generate captions, ideas, or hashtags are processed to fulfill your requests.

D. Automated Data Collection (Log Files & Cookies)
Like most software platforms, Ottory follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they use the platform. The information collected includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our platform.

  • Improve, personalize, and expand our platform’s features, including tuning our Real-Time Trend Tracking and localization engines.

  • Understand and analyze how you use our platform.

  • Develop new products, services, features, and functionality.

  • Process your transactions and manage your billing cycle.

  • Communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the platform, and for marketing and promotional purposes.

  • Send you emails, such as security alerts or product updates.

  • Find and prevent fraud.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosures

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information with trusted third-party services only to the extent necessary to run our platform:

  • Cloud Infrastructure & Hosting: To store data securely.

  • AI Model Providers: To power features like "Ask Otto" and the Ideas Generator. Inputs sent to these sub-processors are stripped of unrelated sensitive identifiers where possible and are subject to strict data privacy standards.

  • Social Networks: Data is transferred to API endpoints of the social channels you choose to link (e.g., publishing a scheduled post to your LinkedIn feed).

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Data Security and Retention

The security of your data is important to us. We employ industry-standard technical and organizational measures to safeguard your information from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.

We retain your personal data and social media communication history only for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data, except for data we are legally required to retain.

5. Your Data Protection Rights
Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR in Europe, CCPA/CPRA in California), you have specific rights regarding your personal data. We would like to ensure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data.

  • The right to rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate or complete information you believe is incomplete.

  • The right to erasure: You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

  • The right to restrict or object to processing: You have the right to object to or restrict our processing of your personal data under certain conditions.

  • The right to data portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us.

6. Children's Information

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. Ottory does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our platform, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
